Microsoft promises a first version of Windows 7 in October

The U.S. publisher says on his blog dedicated to developers that the first version of its next OS Windows 7 will be broadcast next month. It will be a “pre-beta” to be published at the Professional Developers Conference (27 to October 30 in Los Angeles).

“With Windows 7 to PDC2008, you will see technological advances at all levels, from kernel networking, to managing hardware and the user interface,” says Microsoft. The new messaging features, photo editing and video editing will not be in the program, because, as we mentioned recently, the Redmond company has chosen to offer in the form of Windows Live applications.

The beta 1 in December

After this pre-beta, Microsoft will publish a beta 1 of Windows 7 in mid-December, the final version for client is, however, planned for late 2009 - no later than January 2010.

The development of the new operating system is much faster than Vista, whose structure is largely resumption. And as Bill Gates stated, the technological breakthrough between 7 and Windows Vista will be less important as Vista and Windows XP; Windows 7 will turn with PC 2008.
