Microsoft lowered the price of some versions of Vista

The price of Windows Vista Home PremiumĀ is reduced by approximately $ 30 to settle at $ 129, while Windows Vista Ultimate will increase from 299 to $ 219.

The reduction relates only copies of Vista who find themselves at computer retailers or those which can be purchased via the Internet.

With this reduction, Microsoft seeks to further stimulate sales of its operating system. Although the company has sold 100 million copies of Vista since its release there is a little over a year, most of these sales actually comes from the purchase of new PCs by consumers. Few users and businesses have decided to make the transition from Windows XP to the new operating system the company.

In an interview with Associated Press (AP), Brad Brooks, vice president of marketing at Microsoft, said he is convinced that reducing the prices of these two versions of Vista will be very popular with consumers.
