Windows XP could continue its journey…
In the words of Steve Ballmer himself, CEO of Microsoft, Windows XP could benefit from a reprieve thanks to the enthusiasm and the strong interest of users for OS Redmond.
“If the interest of consumers varies, we could act more intelligently” lâchait Steve Ballmer at a conference yesterday, Thursday, at the University of Louvain-la-Neuve in Belgium.
Indeed, Microsoft seems to be starting to reconsider the interest and growing users for Windows XP, and could therefore adapt its strategy.
However, Steve Ballmer did not fail to point out that the “majority of buyers chose a computer with Vista,” which has fooled person since it is virtually impossible to find a new computer comes with XP home. By cons, many manufacturers offer the purchase with Vista, and the possibility of downgrader to XP.
Until now, Microsoft had to stop the marketing of ex-OS as of June 30, 2008, but keep it on computers ULCPC (Ultra Low-Cost PC) until 2010, with a reprieve until 30 January 2009 for local assemblers.
