A reprieve for Windows XP?
Steve Ballmer, CEO of Microsoft said he does not turn 180 degrees on the end of life of Windows XP.
Without announce a real step backwards on the death of the venerable operating system, still attached to 30 June, Ballmer still keeps his hand on the brake in the event of a controlled skid. “XP reaches the end of life, as we had announced, “he said yesterday in Reuters. “We can possibly adapt this decision to feedback from our customers, but for the moment, the date of end-of-life Windows XP remains unchanged.” Despite the lukewarm reception at Vista, Ballmer remains optimistic and says that many customers have acquired the new Microsoft operating system.
It is certainly true, but most of these customers have probably got a pre-installed version of Vista when buying a PC neuf.Il is encouraging that Microsoft is planning at least able to stay tuned its clients.
